Bingyao Tan

Bio

Dr. Bingyao Tan obtained his PhD in physics from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, in 2017. He is a senior research fellow at Singapore Eye Research Institute, Singapore, and holds a visiting scholar position at Singapore-MIT Alliance of Research and Technology (SMART), Singapore. During the Covid period, he did a postdoctoral fellowship at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interest is to investigate the dynamic contrast of OCT, focusing on functional imaging of outer retinal dynamics and ocular blood flow. He is also involved in multiple clinical studies at Singapore National Eye Center, including ocular shape in myopia and retinal angiography in diabetic retinopathy. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed journals in biomedical optics and ophthalmology.
